Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair landscape irrigation systems in outdoor settings, including laying out and connecting pipes, valves, controllers, sprinkler heads, drip systems, and soaker hoses; program and schedule irrigation controllers to optimize water use; monitor weather and adjust plans; educate clients on water conservation; maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with clients and team members.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or courses in irrigation systems are a plus
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair
- Knowledge of various irrigation methods and tools
- Familiarity with irrigation controllers and programming
- Basic understanding of plant water requirements and soil types
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve irrigation issues
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, bend, and work in confined spaces
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and system adjustments
