Job Summary
Irrigation Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing irrigation systems for commercial landscape properties. Duties include inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting irrigation networks; turning systems on/off as designated; repairing or replacing hoses, pipes, and sprinkler components; operating timers and controllers; installing or repairing irrigation lines; conducting detailed system inspections; and assisting with miscellaneous maintenance tasks. Must read and interpret irrigation site maps/legends, use hand and power tools, and follow safety/environmental practices. Requires a valid driver’s license, at least 1 year of irrigation experience, ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Certifications/licenses needed to perform local work should be obtained and maintained; Spanish language ability is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience with the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems
- Valid drivers license
- Proficient with conventional and two-wire irrigation systems
- Knowledge of irrigation equipment (hand and power tools)
- Read irrigation site maps and legends
- Spanish a plus
- Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Obtain and maintain certifications/licenses needed to perform work in local market
Desired Qualifications
