Job Summary
Maintains, inspects, and operates City irrigation systems for the Parks department; supervises temporary and permanent staff on irrigation projects; coordinates with Parks and GIS for mapping; collaborates with contractors on repairs, upgrades, and new installations; estimates costs, purchases supplies, and ensures purchasing procedures; writes and updates irrigation specifications; supports special events and assists with setup and takedown of portable stages; ensures compliance with policies, safety guidelines, and city procedures; requires completion of high school or equivalent and at least three years in irrigation system installation/maintenance, plus a valid driver’s license and TCEQ Landscape Irrigator license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience with installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, including multi-strand and 2 wire/decoder systems
- Valid driver’s license
- TCEQ Licensed Landscape Irrigator
