Job Summary
Install new irrigation systems, maintain existing setups, and complete seasonal startups and winterizations across commercial, residential, and municipal properties. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues while reading plans to ensure installations meet design specifications. Develop shop and as-built drawings, assist with project scheduling, and provide guidance to team members. Deliver exceptional customer service, complete safety documentation, and maintain tools and equipment. Work primarily outdoors on active job sites in various weather conditions, with occasional office time for planning and vendor coordination. Regular Monday to Friday hours with occasional overtime and optional winter snow and ice shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience installing and maintaining commercial and residential irrigation systems
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience
- Strong knowledge of irrigation design, installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and system maintenance
- Experience with irrigation controllers, low-voltage systems, PVC and poly pipe installation
- Ability to read plans, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating equipment such as trenchers, excavators, skid steers, and power tools
- HTE
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- IIABC certifications including Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT), Certified Irrigation Scheduler (CIS), and Certified Irrigation Designer (CID)
- Equivalent certifications
