Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance checks, inspections, and testing of Backflow preventers on existing irrigation systems. Perform repairs on sprinkler heads, valves, pipes, and controllers while troubleshooting and diagnosing system issues to identify root causes. Adjust irrigation schedules based on seasonal changes and customer needs, then collaborate with clients to assess requirements and recommend upgrades. Keep accurate records of service calls and educate customers on water conservation and system operation. Maintain safety protocols and stay updated on industry trends. Requires 5+ years of residential irrigation experience, valid driver's license, and Backflow preventer certification.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience working with residential irrigation systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Backflow preventer certification
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with irrigation components, including pumps, valves, controllers, and drip systems
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time efficiently and prioritizing tasks effectively
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
