Job Summary
Irrigation Tech I assists with monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and seasonal maintenance of irrigation systems under general supervision, including monitoring/installations, troubleshooting/repair, evaluating and optimizing pipe/valve placements, and helping with start-ups and winterizations. The role involves routine inspections, recording findings, and assisting with basic system adjustments and minor repairs. Requires 0-1 year of experience, a valid driver’s license, bilingual ability in Spanish, and knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, operate landscaping equipment, and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. PPE usage and flexibility to work weekends/holidays are required. Required Qualifications
- 0-1 year of productive experience in installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems
- A valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Ability to read site map-colored charts/legends
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers)
- Ability to perform manual labor with hand tools
- Ability to wear PPE
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed
