Irrigation Superintendent

Job Summary
Maintain irrigation systems at Mount Olivet and Saint Simeon locations, including wells, reservoirs, pump houses, and pipelines. Create labor and material estimates for repairs, order equipment, and manage water use to comply with decree requirements. Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project scope, prepare permits, and supervise preventative maintenance on sprinkler systems and controllers. Troubleshoot and respond to emergency requests during and after work hours. Interact with neighbors, regulatory agencies, contractors, and site architects. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Some duties may involve weekend, evening, nighttime, and holiday work.
Required Qualifications
- Positive and supportive attitude toward the Catholic Church, her teachings, and her work
- Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and shop drawings
- Must have valid Colorado Driver's License
- Must have an Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Must have an Associate's Degree or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree, field experience and business management experience a plus
- Must have certifications in irrigation management and efficiency in customer service orientation
- Must have at least 5-7 years of related experience with 2-3 years of lead or supervisory experience
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects more than 50 lbs. with no assistance
- Must be available for work on weekends, evening, nighttime and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, field experience and business management experience a plus
- At least 5-7 years of related experience with 2-3 years of lead or supervisory experience preferred
