Job Summary
Sell irrigation parts to customers while maintaining inventory levels, re-ordering stock, and ensuring department cleanliness. Collaborate with the Parts Manager on pre-season stocking and aging, and work with techs and subcontract crews to track parts usage and meet needs. Create and update sprinkler charts for clients, file warranty claims, and back-fill other positions like powersports or farm supplies when required. Listen to customer requirements, follow through on orders, and go the extra step to ensure satisfaction. This role offers competitive wages, commissions, health care, and a bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Some irrigation/parts experience
- Familiarity with the components of irrigation systems
- Understanding of the theory of operation of irrigation systems
- Understanding of parts inventory
- Understanding of sales
- Understanding of stocking
- Positive attitude
- Genuine willingness to help customers
- Ability to listen to what customers actually need
- Ability to follow through
- Ability to go the extra step to get customers the right part
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with irrigation/parts (helpful)
- Basic knowledge of products sold besides irrigation parts
- Ability to help customers with sales besides irrigation parts
