Job Summary
As an Irrigation Manager, you will develop and implement water budgets and irrigation schedules tailored to the unique conditions of the site. Key responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining irrigation systems, supervising irrigation technicians, and ensuring all activities comply with local regulations. You will prepare and manage budgets for irrigation projects while providing technical advice to farmers. The role requires strong leadership skills and a proven ability to troubleshoot and enhance irrigation system efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year associate’s degree required
- 3-5 years’ experience in irrigation management with a proven track record of succession project implementation and maintenance
Desired Qualifications
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance
- Knowledge of water management practices and relevant software
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks related to irrigation system maintenance
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
