Job Summary
Lead a commercial irrigation installation crew by confirming daily attendance, planning schedules, and enforcing safety policies before departing the shop. Lay out systems according to design plans, perform quality inspections, and make field adjustments to ensure installations meet PureGreen standards. Prepare and stage materials, maintain equipment, and communicate project progress and needs with the Landscape Installation Manager. Train crew members on installation techniques and safety procedures while maintaining clean job sites. This role requires reading blueprints, troubleshooting wired and 2-wire systems, and operating trenchers. Full-time position with overtime and weekend availability; bilingual candidates preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience leading commercial irrigation installation crews
- Strong knowledge of commercial irrigation systems and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation blueprints
- Experience with both conventional wired and 2-wire irrigation systems
- Skilled in operating trenchers and irrigation installation equipment
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop crew members
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform physical labor including bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching throughout the workday
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
