Job Summary
Provide operational and strategic SME-level support to HQ USAF on irregular warfare and Joint Staff Action Process (JSAP), including applying expertise to implement National Defense Strategy (NDS) and National Military Strategy (NMS). Conduct analysis, research, and policy support; prepare background papers and briefings for senior leaders; coordinate with Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and MAJCOMs; support Ready Airman Training (RAT) program, deployment readiness coordination, and integration with AFFORGEN/ACE/MCA concepts. Travel as required. Requires Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of relevant experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and US citizenship with Top Secret/SCI eligibility; position located in Washington, DC with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, etc.) required
- Minimum of three (3) years of current experience within the last five (5) years in irregular warfare and irregular warfare-related issues
- Minimum of three (3) years of current experience within the last five (5) years supporting individual Airmen deployment and readiness requirements
- Experience applying irregular warfare expertise to implementing strategic guidance, including the National Defense Strategy and National Military Strategy
- Experience with USAF Agile Combat Employment (ACE) and Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN) concepts
- Knowledge of Air Force Service-level planning and programming
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, presenting, and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Some travel required
- US Citizenship requirements (contract stipulation)
- Top Secret/SCI clearance eligibility
