Job Summary
Read blueprints, sketches, and instructions to guide structural steel installation. Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel for crane lifting, then signal operators to position structural frames. Use shears, rod-bending machines, torches, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld iron and steel. Align structural components vertically and horizontally using tag lines, plumb bobs, lasers, and levels. Connect materials with bolts, wire, or welds, and install metal decking. Must be able to lift 75 pounds and pass a drug test. Stinger specializes in bridge projects across the Southwest, fabricating in Coolidge, Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship or experience in the field
- Ability to pass per-employment drug-test
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
- Pre-employment physical and drug testing are required
