Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities as General Foreman I across Mississippi sites. Responsibilities include planning and prioritizing tasks for assigned crews, briefing and directing foremen, ensuring safety and quality standards, enforcing safety reports and PPE use, maintaining timesheets and safety documentation, interpreting blueprints and plans, tracking progress and budgeted man-hours, producing quality/quantity reports, and coordinating with the superintendent and specialty contractors. The role requires mastery of site safety practices, OSHA processes, and field training, with the ability to read ISO, P&IDs, and project documents, and to provide expertise and coaching to the supervision team. Attendance at required meetings and adherence to Yates Safety Procedures, Core Values, and Code of Conduct are expected. Experience implementing look-ahead planning and coordinating multiple crews to achieve efficient production is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of craft-classified experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervision experience
- Experience managing five to fifteen (5 to 15) team members
- Formal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical, or trade school such as NCCER Certification Plus.
