Iron Core Mechanical | Class A Gasfitter

Job Summary
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair gas-fired equipment and mechanical systems exceeding 400,000 BTU's while performing preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial and commercial systems. Participate in construction, installation, and commissioning projects by reading blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings. Assist with instrumentation installation, calibration, and troubleshooting to diagnose operational issues and implement effective solutions. Ensure all work complies with the B149 Gas Code and applicable regulations while collaborating with project teams and maintaining accurate documentation. Valid Class A Gasfitter Certification or registered Gasfitter Apprentice required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Gasfitter Certification or registered Gasfitter Apprentice
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Knowledge of B149 Gas Code
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber certification considered a strong asset
- Experience in Maintenance environments, Construction projects, Instrumentation systems, and/or Burner Management Systems
- Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems
- Experience with industrial controls and automation systems
- Welding or pipefitting experience
- Experience working in industrial plants, oil & gas, manufacturing, or commercial mechanical environments
- Safety certifications including Confined Space, Elevated Work Platform, Fall Arrest, H2S, First Aid, CSTS, and WHMIS
