IRA/CD Operations Specialist II - Second Shift (11:30AM -8:00PM)

Job Summary
Research and clear CD and IRA entries, validate IRS and state-specific documentation, and process complex distributions using Raft to maintain compliance. Review and correct 1099s and 5498 filings, handle penalty exceptions and death payouts, and coordinate support for compliance audit letters. Collaborate with Financial Centers, Legal, and Business Banking on process enhancements and implement operational improvements. Provide quality customer service for complex regulation and IRS documentation inquiries while managing risk and ensuring accurate reporting. Requires a Bachelor's degree, three years of related experience, and strong knowledge of IRS regulations and banking systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Three (3) years related experience
- Experience preferably in Retail or Operations
- Knowledge of retail policies, procedures and products
- Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC knowledge to include Word & Excel
- Working knowledge of the internal banking center systems, such as Raft, ACE, Mobius, IHUB, Branch Capture
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Ability to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management
- Solid understanding of IRS regulations related to information reporting and tax withholding, including requirements in accordance with IRC section 408 and the corresponding regulations and publications
- Ability to perform IRS reissue and correction processing for IRA and CD transactions to include all types of 1099s and 5498s
