Job Summary
Circulate, scrub, and monitor advanced interventional radiology imaging systems while ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation. Operate IR equipment and related information systems to produce quality images, adhering to radiation safety guidelines and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff. Provide procedural assistance according to lab policies, develop knowledge of invasive supplies and applications, and follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, and equipment maintenance. Educate patients, ensure comfort, and address concerns throughout life-changing procedures. Full-time 40-hour schedule includes four weekday 10-hour shifts with call responsibilities and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate on an AMA-approved radiologic technology program
- Current ARRT (R) credential
- Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current ACLS certification or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
- Current RTRCV certification or the ability to obtain
- Current VIR certification or the ability to obtain within twenty-four (24) months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a staff technologist
- At least one (1) year of experience in vascular/interventional imaging
- Five years of imaging experience
- Two years of leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
