Job Summary
Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, along with modality assisted drainage and biopsies. Complete all post-processing functions and related record keeping while ensuring utilization of established protocols for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Adhere to Radiation Safety Policies and principles of dose reduction. Provide patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards. Maintain competencies for all related components and demonstrate proficiency in positioning patients and selecting correct imaging protocols. Requires JRCERT-approved Radiologic Tech program graduation, ARRT registration, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an JRCERT approved Radiologic Tech program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (R) or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- BLS Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Advance Certification by ARRT in Vascular-Interventional Radiographer (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional Radiographer (CI)
