Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Surgical Technician with a current CST performs hands-on support for interventional radiology procedures, assisting physicians and nursing staff in preparing rooms and equipment, patient screening and prep, documenting in the RIS, assisting with specimen handling for pathology, and supporting workflow to minimize wait times. Responsibilities include rooming patients, directing gowning, ensuring protocol adherence (LVIC/AAAASF), coordinating with Tech Aide/Tech Manager/Director of Radiology, handling biopsy specimens, assisting with mammography tracking, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires two years of surgical technician experience, CST certification, and BLS; ARRT certification preferred; English proficiency (bilingual preferred); typing 25 wpm. Works in Las Vegas, NV.
Required Qualifications
- Active CST
- Two years of previous surgical technician experience
- ARRT certification preferred
- BLS certification
- Ability to read, understand, speak and follow English instructions
- Bilingual preferred
- Type at least 25 words per minute
- Must be able to work in a medical office environment
- Display interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and peers
- General knowledge of insurance benefits
