Job Summary
Lead the review, design, development, and implementation of engineering systems for advanced anti-ballistic and intercontinental ballistic missile defense programs. Conduct end-to-end product design, integration, and testing while managing staffing, collaboration, and multi-year plans to deliver compliant, documented solutions. Coordinate across teams, users, and external partners including Lockheed Martin and Northrup Grumman throughout the development cycle. Formulate development plans, maintain schedules, and provide variance inputs to cost account managers. Determine technical objectives for solving advanced engineering problems and lead trade studies to meet physical, mechanical, and environmental requirements. Support program design and readiness reviews, present to customers, and manage risk and earned value metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Must have or be able to obtain a clearance S (TS preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
- 10 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
- 5 or more years of experience with a Master's degree
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment
- Must possess the ability to organize work assignments to meet established timetables
- Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work extended hours as required
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workloads
- Must have at least: 5 years of space system design experience
- Must have at least: 3 years of experience in leading technical teams
- Demonstrated engineering experience in the entire lifecycle of a program
- Experience preparing for and presenting at customer reviews
- Experience in risk management and earned value management
- Experience in schedule development using Microsoft project
- Familiarity with agile design processes
