Job Summary
Supervises the daily activities of an operational unit, maintains workflow, staffing and scheduling to achieve targeted operating results, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Manages a team of primarily para-professional staff, makes day-to-day personnel decisions, and collaborates across departments to promote operational efficiency. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing training plans, maintaining performance standards, and ensuring effective communication and training across teams. Requires a BS degree and 2+ years of supervisory experience in a technical environment, with preferred experience in process/operations management and the medical device industry. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to retrieve, interpret, and organize information. The role emphasizes problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, adaptability, and team collaboration in a manufacturing/operational setting.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree
- Equivalent of 2+ years of supervisory experience of technical personnel required
- Prior experience in process or operations management preferred
- Prior experience in medical device industry preferred
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role preferred
- Prior experience with managing engineering personnel preferred
- Prior experience with technical applications of software
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications
