Job Summary
Provide intensive psychiatric rehabilitation (IPR) services to adults with serious mental illness, facilitating recovery and community integration through group and individual sessions in Spirit Lake, IA. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting lesson plans or technology for groups/individuals, completing documentation in the EHR (enrollment, discharge, authorizations, progress reports, service plans, reassessments, social history, coping plans), ensuring proper medical file documentation per DHS and CARF standards, handling billing authorizations, participating in client support and staff meetings, coordinating with referral sources, maintaining safety practices, and arranging transportation for participants while upholding Hope Haven’s policies and code of ethics. Requires a BA in a Human Services field, one year of relevant experience, completion of 60 hours of IPR training after hire, and strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Pay is hourly, with rates from 20 to 23 per hour; location-based in Spirit Lake, IA, US.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. degree in Human Services Field
- one year of experience with psychiatric disabilities
- completion of 60 hours intensive psychiatric rehabilitation training
- knowledge of disabilities and teaching/training techniques
- knowledge of behavior management techniques
- strong interpersonal/counseling skills
- clearance from background checks
- good communication, organizational and leadership skills
- computer literacy
- reliable transportation
