IPM Technician (Integrated Pest Management)

Job Summary
Conduct daily pest and disease monitoring and scouting to ensure optimal plant health. Mix and apply pesticides, preventative agents, and caustic cleaning agents according to protocols while maintaining up-to-date logs. Operate and maintain Dramm Hydraulic Sprayers for IPM product applications, including applying beneficial bugs to plants. Coordinate application schedules with the IPM Supervisor and follow standard operating procedures for all tasks. Uphold quality standards by conducting and documenting follow-up inspections. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the Litchfield, IL facility.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Ability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work on feet or seated for extended periods
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to handle potential allergens, irritants, and elevated environmental conditions (such as high temperatures, humidity, and CO2 levels)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for 100 feet
- Ability to work in an environment that is exposed to plant materials and strong odors
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lifting of objects regularly
- Daily repetitive tasks
- Ability to cut and manipulate small objects
- Close visual focus required
- Ability to extend and repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with pesticides, cleaning agents, or hydraulic sprayers
