Job Summary
Operate spray rigs with calibrated accuracy, spot spray nonselective and selective herbicides, and assist managers in mixing and loading chemicals. Perform daily care and maintenance of shrubs, trees, turf, and annual flowers while maintaining rigorous record keeping for all applications. Adhere to safety protocols, wear required equipment, and support department training to ensure operational consistency across the community. Requires a Limited Lawn & Ornamental pesticide license within 90 days of hire. Full-time hourly role with Monday through Friday schedule plus one weekend per month.
Required Qualifications
- Must have or be able to obtain a Limited Lawn & Ornamental pesticide license within 90 days of hire
- Must be compliant with and actively support a drug-free workplace
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 50 pounds
- Will work one weekend a month 6 am – 9 am shift
- Minimum of a high school diploma preferred
- Have minimum of 2 years experience spraying pesticides and fertilizers in a golf course or landscape setting
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Bi-lingual is a plus
