Job Summary
IPM Technician (Cannabis) at TerrAscend will execute Integrated Pest Management plans and support cultivation tasks at the Waterfall, PA on-site facility. Responsibilities include routine monitoring, scouting, and documentation of plant populations; applying crop protection agents under the supervision of a certified pesticide applicator; assisting with cleaning rooms after harvest and preparing for room re-loads; following SOPs and state regulations; acquiring knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi; maintaining PPE and equipment; and contributing to plant production from cloning to harvest. The role requires completing an MD private pesticide applicator license, a respirator fit test if needed, and strong documentation and organizational skills. The position is full-time with weekend availability and adherence to a strict schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management methods and the ability to identify pests and pathogens specific to Cannabis
- Knowledge of growing practices, such as cloning, transplanting, pruning, training, watering, etc.
- Ability to execute techniques accurately and consistently
- Good documentation, inventory, and organizational skills
- Ability to keep to a tight schedule
- Ability to maintain excellent punctuality and attendance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent verbal interpersonal communication skills to interact with team members
- Flexibility with hours and days – must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
