Job Summary
Plan, develop, and evaluate the Sienna infection prevention and control program while proactively preventing dangerous infectious agents like viruses and bacteria. Implement prevention strategies through education and consultation for front-line team members, and perform surveillance, data collection, and analysis to identify infection trends and manage investigations. Manage investigations of infections and implement best practices based on data analysis. This role requires a minimum of three years' experience in geriatrics and certification in Infection Prevention & Control. Required Qualifications
- Sound knowledge of applicable provincial regulations and standards for Ontario
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in geriatrics in a clinical health setting
- Completion of Basic Infection Prevention and Control Courses or willingness to obtain in a timeframe identified
- Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (CIC) or Associate Infection Prevention and Control Certification (A-IPC) – or willingness to obtain within a timeframe identified
- Fluent in English
- Advanced computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel)
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check
