Job Summary
IP/Staff Development Nurse role leading infection prevention and the clinical team in Edgerton Care Center. The RN will assist the Director of Nursing, educate and empower CNAs and nurses to deliver high-quality long-term care and rehabilitation, lead the Infection Control Program, apply nursing principles to residents’ care, and ensure confidentiality and professional standards while coordinating with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum one year nursing experience providing direct care in long-term care setting
- CPR certified
- English literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in leadership and communication skills
- Ability to plan, develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary team members, administration and others
