Job Summary
Conduct patent and scientific literature searches to support critical intellectual property and business decisions, developing innovative strategies using specialized databases. Deliver actionable analytics for due diligence, litigation, and freedom-to-operate assessments while partnering with patent attorneys, scientists, and global teams to define objectives. Translate complex technical information into clear recommendations and maintain high-quality documentation and confidentiality standards. Strengthen organizational expertise by sharing best practices and monitoring industry developments. This role enables informed decisions that support innovation and bring groundbreaking medicines to patients worldwide at Novartis.
Required Qualifications
- Master degree (or PhD) in Biology or Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline
- Experience in patent searching, intellectual property research, technical research, or patent analytics
- Proficiency using patent and scientific literature databases and advanced search platforms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within a global environment
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related life sciences industries
