IP Paralegal

Job Summary
Maintain all aspects of intellectual property docketing and file management, including tracking and monitoring due dates for annuities and renewals by coordinating with attorneys, instructing vendors, and confirming payments. Communicate with outside counsel to ensure timely receipt of documents and accuracy of docketing while preparing and proofreading filing receipts, assignments, declarations, and other formal documents. Work collaboratively within the paralegal team and with IP practitioners to manage special projects and provide periodic administrative support to the Vice President and Head of Intellectual Property. Leverage proficiency with electronic IP docketing systems, the USPTO e-filing system, and document management applications like Outlook, SharePoint, and iManage to increase team efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of patent paralegal experience in patent prosecution and management
- Experience handling patent annuities and renewals including tracking/monitoring due dates
- Experience with electronic IP docketing and annuity management systems
- Familiarity with the USPTO e-filing system
- Skilled using document and email management applications and databases
- Willingness to learn new systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
Desired Qualifications
