Job Summary
Infection Control Nurse (IC Nurse) is a full-time, permanent role responsible for planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, educating, and directing infection prevention and control programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The position includes policy development and implementation, serving as the primary education resource for staff, residents, and visitors on infection control practices, maintaining records of infections, completing administrative duties, and providing direct nursing care as needed. Requires active Missouri RN or LPN license and IC/IP certification with 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience; proficiency in epidemiology, microbiology, and infection prevention standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active, current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of Missouri
- IP/IC Certified
- Two (2) years or more of clinical experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related healthcare setting
- Working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious disease, aseptic technique, and standard/transmission-based precautions
