Job Summary
As an Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN), you will develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program, ensuring compliance with standards. Responsibilities include making rounds of nursing units, reviewing environmental sanitation procedures, analyzing infectious disease lab reports, and consulting with the Director of Nursing. You will prepare summaries of infections, corrective actions taken, and outcomes for submission while educating staff, residents, and family members on precautions and hand-hygiene techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
Desired Qualifications
- Infection control experience
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
