IP Docketing Analyst

Job Summary

Analyze incoming correspondence related to intellectual property prosecution, discerning pertinent information to enter into the IP docketing database. Reconcile client, foreign agent, and attorney correspondence against docketed due dates to rectify daily dockets. Research the Code of Federal Regulations, Manual of Industrial Property, and Kluwer IP Law to resolve complex docketing issues. Prepare customized reports for attorneys and clients and resolve inaccuracies or associated requests. Communicate professionally and effectively with attorneys and staff regarding docket-related questions. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. This role supports Foley & Lardner LLP's IP practice in Madison, Detroit, Boston, Washington D.C., Dallas, and other locations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in IP Docketing
  • US Patent prosecution knowledge

Desired Qualifications

  • foreign and/or trademark prosecution knowledge
