Job Summary
Compile, manage, and execute complex Intellectual Property attorney billing by drafting, editing, and preparing pre-bills and final bills per attorney and client specifications. Verify accuracy of billing and cost backup documentation, confirm rates and fee arrangements, and generate client invoices in requested formats. Monitor Work In Process and Accounts Receivable inventory, generate billing statements and production reports, and research inquiries regarding billing issues. Coordinate with e-billing departments and attorneys to ensure timely completion. Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the billing cycle. Requires one year of experience billing at an hourly rate for a timekeeper in a law or professional services firm, with IP billing experience preferred. Salary ranges vary by location from $58,100 to $89,400.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience billing at an hourly rate for a timekeeper in a law or professional services firm
- Experience billing for intellectual property (IP) practice
