Job Summary
Manage assigned IP projects by drafting and editing documents, maintaining and updating files, and coordinating calendars and meetings. Prepare client letters, patent formalities, and Information Disclosure Statements while tracking estimates, accruals, and invoicing. Ensure accuracy in patent particulars, timesheet entries, and grammar through meticulous attention to detail. Utilize iManage, InTapp, Chrome River, and Microsoft programs to streamline tasks and improve efficiency. Attend required training and complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe
- 1+ year of administrative or client service experience preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrate interest in learning Intellectual Property rules and guidelines
- Exceptional typing skills; ability to draft and/or edit documents accurately and quickly
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task (i.e., calendaring, meeting coordination, timesheet entries, grammar, and patent particulars (names, dates, titles))
- Critical thinker who works efficiently, using available technology and striving to make tasks easier and more efficient
- May assist with IP portfolio analysis and presentations
- May assist with preparation and reporting of client letters and patent formalities, as well as Information Disclosure Statement (IDS) preparation and management
- May assist with client estimates and accruals, as well as invoicing
- Proficient in iManage, InTapp, Chrome River, and Microsoft programs Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Attend any required training by the firm's training department and/or the IP Department
- Other duties as assigned
