Job Summary
iOS Team Manager leads a team of iOS engineers embedded across multiple product squads, partnering with Product and Design to deliver impactful features. Owns timelines, dependencies, and delivery, coaches engineers through regular 1:1s, promotes collaboration across distributed teams, shapes Deezer's iOS technical vision with Senior/Expert engineers, and ensures high-quality code and architectural decisions across the iOS ecosystem. The role requires prior people leadership, close collaboration with Product Managers, and a pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset to balance ambition with realistic planning.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing a team of software engineers
- Ability to build trust and psychological safety in distributed teams
- Proven experience working with Product Managers in a cross-functional setup
- Solid iOS development background and platform expertise
- Familiarity with mobile engineering best practices, architecture patterns, and code quality standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort with delivering across product squads and aligning with business goals
