IOP Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately in an automated system. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining detailed patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to patients and handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. This role requires full COVID-19 vaccination, a high school diploma, and phlebotomy certification or three months of experience. The position offers a Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm schedule with Fridays 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch and Fridays 8::00am-1:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
