Job Summary
PRN IOP Counselor in Cleveland, OH provides individual and group counseling within an Intensive Outpatient Program, delivers AOD assessments, supports the lead counselor and IOP/detention units as needed, develops complete treatment plans, maintains current licensure, and utilizes EMR for documentation. The role includes crisis intervention, case management, and tailoring counseling techniques to client readiness, with flexible hours including evenings/holidays as required. Requires licensure (CDCA/LCDCII/III or equivalent), several years of relevant experience with CIAI-C or SOQIC tools, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must have one of the following licensures: CDCA, LCDCII or LCDCIII. CDCA, LCDC-II, or equivalent required, LCDC-III, BA Social Work preferred
- Three to five years’ experience with the CIAI-C or SOQIC assessment tool and a minimum of five years experience working Alcohol/Drug and Mental Health clients/patients
- Must be able to work flexible hours and holidays and/or evenings as required
- Ability to prioritize, facilitate and complete assignments in an accurate and timely fashion while maintaining strict confidentiality of clients/patients
- Minimum of three years experience in conducting assessments and group counseling skills
- Superior customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated PC skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
