Job Summary
IOP Addiction Counselor responsible for facilitating addiction treatment groups in IOP/OP levels of care, delivering DSM-V/ASAM-based evaluations, and coordinating care with referral sources and treatment teams. Responsibilities include developing treatment alliances with patients, presenting addiction/recovery education, documenting in compliance with state and CARF standards, and providing direct patient care up to 55% of weekly hours. Requires MD licensure credentials (ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, CADC) and 2+ years in the SUD field; schedule Monday–Friday 5:30am–1:30pm; position located in Frederick, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the SUD field
- Licenses and Other Required Credentials: ADT, CSC-AD, or CAC-AD, CADC in Maryland
- Experience with EMR
- Knowledge of recovery modalities (SMART Recovery, Women for Sobriety, 12-Step, Recovery Dharma, Harm Reduction)
- Ability to provide direct care up to 55% of weekly hours
- Ability to obtain signatures from licensed therapist/supervisor for certain documents
