Job Summary
Conduct intraoperative neuromonitoring for complex spinal and neurological procedures by continuously reading electrophysiological data and alerting the surgical team to early warning signs. Meet with patients pre-operatively to explain neuromonitoring safety, then interpret complex waveforms, correlate findings with surgical events, and document everything with precision. Work side-by-side with surgeons and anesthesiologists to influence surgical decisions while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and quality innovation. This active, hands-on role requires standing for extended periods, transporting up to 45 lbs of equipment, and maintaining on-call availability in real surgical environments.
Required Qualifications
- CNIM certified or CNIM-eligible
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- Minimum 1 year of IONM experience
- Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- AHA CPR certified
- Valid Driver's License
- A communicator and a collaborator — equally comfortable working independently or as part of a surgical team
- Schedule flexibility required, including on-call availability
- Exposure to OR environments
- Adherence to safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in neuroscience or a related field
- Experience with advanced neuromonitoring modalities
