Job Summary
Monitor patients' brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves in real time during complex spinal or neurological procedures. Meet with patients pre-operatively to review history and explain neuromonitoring safety, then continuously read electrophysiological data to spot early warning signs and alert the surgical team. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to interpret waveforms, correlate findings with surgical events, and document everything with precision. Contribute to continuous improvement by helping make care better for future patients. Requires CNIM certification or eligibility, minimum one year of IONM experience, and schedule flexibility including on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- CNIM certified or CNIM-eligible
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- Minimum 1 year of IONM experience
- Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- AHA CPR certified
- Valid Driver's License
- A communicator and a collaborator — equally comfortable working independently or as part of a surgical team
- Schedule flexibility required, including on-call availability
- Exposure to OR environments
- Adherence to safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in neuroscience or a related field
- Experience with advanced neuromonitoring modalities
