Job Summary
Meet with patients pre-operatively to review history and explain neuromonitoring safety. Continuously read electrophysiological data during procedures, spot early warning signs, and alert the surgical team in real time. Interpret complex waveforms, correlate findings with surgical events, and document everything with precision while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement to enhance care for current and future patients. This active, hands-on role requires standing for extended periods, transporting equipment up to 45 lbs, and maintaining on-call availability. MPOWERHealth offers a nationally accredited paid CNIM training program for those not yet certified.
Required Qualifications
- CNIM certified or CNIM-eligible
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- Minimum 1 year of IONM experience
- Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- AHA CPR certified
- Valid Driver's License
- A communicator and a collaborator — equally comfortable working independently or as part of a surgical team
- Schedule flexibility required, including on-call availability
- Exposure to OR environments
- Adherence to safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in neuroscience or a related field
- Experience with advanced neuromonitoring modalities
