Job Summary
Perform multi-modality complex Intraoperative monitoring for advanced procedures including Cortical mapping, phase reversal, dorsal rhizotomies, and DBS. Execute detailed instructions for complex therapeutic procedures while making accurate physical observations of patients. Maintain current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and possess considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy. Take call and work irregular hours under stressful conditions, including rotating shifts and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a health science; or an associate's degree with one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG, R. EP, R. NCS); or completion of a Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program that is CAAHEP accredited and one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG, R. EP, R. NCS)
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Intraoperative monitoring
- Ability to perform multi-modality complex Intraoperative monitoring for advanced IONM procedures including Cortical mapping, phase reversal, dorsal rhyzotomies and DBS
- Considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy
- Ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of complex therapeutic procedures
- Ability to make accurate physical observations of patients
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- Must take call
- Must be available for working irregular hours under stressful conditions, rotating shifts, and weekends
