Job Summary

Investor Relations Manager conveys the company’s investment message to the analyst and institutional investor communities and communicates analyst and investors’ perceptions to the company’s senior management. Serves as the Corporate Model team’s liaison supporting segment financial leaders on new or ongoing work-streams; provides key insights and leverages significant understanding of the Corporate Model. Key responsibilities include preparing quarterly earnings call press releases, scripts and supporting presentation materials as well as materials for analyst and investor meetings, coordinating dissemination of investor relations materials through wire services and website postings, preparing Q&A materials for management, coordinating meetings with analysts and institutional investors, engaging in regular communication with analysts to provide transparency into the company’s operations and results, researching current issues in investor relations, collaborating with Finance, Legal, and Communications on external messaging and compliance with disclosure requirements, and overseeing presentations for Ameren’s Board of Directors and ELT. Qualifications also include strong leadership, ability to travel, and knowledge of financial theory, accounting principles, standards, and reporting requirements. This role is Hybrid with potential long hours around earnings releases, and involves collaboration across departments to deliver increasing returns for shareholders while keeping energy affordable for customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; MBA, CPA and/or CFA preferred
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience (e.g., accounting, financial analysis, investor relations, financial reporting)
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and interact with senior management and investment community
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Willing to travel and work extended hours around quarterly earnings releases
  • Knowledge of the utility industry preferred
