Job Summary
Support the calculation of cashflows, risk metrics, and analytics for structured and other investment assets. Assist in developing quantitative tools and models to evaluate new and existing investment opportunities. Collaborate with Investment Managers to support recommendations and portfolio strategies, while participating in due diligence for asset acquisitions. Provide operational support for portfolios, including reconciliations, transaction monitoring, and data quality maintenance. Assist in preparing compliance and performance reports, presenting investment performance and strategy to senior management. Contribute to automated reporting processes and develop dashboards for investment analysis. This Winter Internship runs from October to December in the Jersey City office.
Required Qualifications
- Rising senior pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, computer science or investments
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Advanced Excel skills
- Very strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
- Presence and credibility to present effectively to key senior management
Desired Qualifications
- A willingness to work towards CFA designation
- Relevant work experience for master's candidates
- Familiarity with more sophisticated data science techniques (SQL, R, Python, MatLab) and experience with Bloomberg
