Job Summary
Monitor and communicate investment risks to teams and leadership while assessing risks in new and existing portfolios. Analyze data to identify risk trends and insights, then present and debate findings with internal and external stakeholders. Develop, refine, and rapidly assemble high-quality PowerPoint presentations used by multiple teams to ensure accurate and visually clear communication of risk insights. Lead projects to develop innovative risk analysis methods and guide risk analysts when needed. This role supports the Investment Risk Management Team at Franklin Templeton, overseeing risk for fixed-income sectors, derivatives, and strategies, and collaborating closely with investment professionals managing billions of dollars.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
- 5+ years of investment risk experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Progress toward Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Proficiency in Power BI
- Proficiency in SQL
- Knowledge of risk models (Bloomberg PORT, Aladdin)
- Knowledge of Python
- VBA
- PowerBI Advanced
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to quickly assemble clear, accurate, and visually effective presentations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Attention to visual clarity and detail in presentation materials
