Job Summary
Lead in-depth due diligence on equity managers and craft forward-looking research to drive Mercer’s recommended list. Participate in interviews with portfolio management teams and business leaders; gather and analyze information to identify asset managers likely to generate value for clients; meet client analytics/strategic research needs; attend external conferences to develop technical knowledge; conduct quantitative analysis by developing data-driven charts and views to support research ratings; contribute to post-meeting discussions and assist consultants in preparing for internal and external meetings; help prepare for direct client discussions on managers and strategies; collaborate with a global network of ~40 long-only equity specialists across nine countries and receive hands-on training and mentorship. This role is based in Chicago or Boston in a hybrid arrangement requiring at least three days in the office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or other business-related areas
- At least 3 years of applicable experience
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a rapidly changing environment
- Writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Intellectual curiosity and tenacity
- Interest in pursuing CFA or MBA
