Job Summary
Investment Professional – Direct Private Equity role focused on sourcing, evaluating, and executing direct investments for a growing family office. Fully remote within the US with a high-ownership, high-accountability remit; ownership of deals from origination through closing and post-acquisition monitoring. Responsibilities include building a proprietary deal pipeline, performing financial analysis and underwriting, coordinating due diligence, structuring transactions (including seller financing and earnouts), coordinating with lenders, and developing internal investment processes and playbooks. Ideal candidate has experience in small/micro-cap private equity, search funds or independent sponsor environments, and a background in operating roles (CEO/COO or senior leadership) with strong sourcing and analytical capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in small / micro-cap private equity or search funds or independent sponsor environments
- Operator background (CEO, COO, or senior leadership in small businesses)
- Demonstrated ability to source or drive deal flow
- Strong commercial judgment and business intuition
- Experience evaluating small to lower middle-market companies
- Ability to operate in a lean, unstructured environment
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats across sourcing, diligence, and execution
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage owners, brokers, and advisors
- Self-directed and entrepreneurial mindset
- Hunter mentality for sourcing opportunities
- Practical and execution-oriented approach
- Ability to interact with senior decision-makers
