Job Summary
Source, underwrite, structure, and execute commercial real estate equity acquisitions for PIMCO's PREO and REFLX funds, leading due diligence across legal, tax, and operational reviews. Conduct comprehensive investment analysis to build financial models, evaluate market fundamentals, and form independent recommendations on transaction structure and portfolio fit. Manage the full transaction lifecycle from initial screening through closing while presenting opportunities to senior investment committees and contributing to capital allocation strategies. Mentor junior team members and drive value creation initiatives for assigned assets. This role requires 6-12 years of experience in CRE private equity or investment banking and offers a total compensation range of $205,000 to $305,000 based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- 6-12 years of relevant experience in real estate private equity, acquisitions, investment management, real estate investment banking, or institutional real estate investing
- Demonstrated experience leading the underwriting and execution of commercial real estate transactions
- Strong understanding of property-level underwriting, portfolio analysis, market fundamentals, debt financing, and joint venture structures
- Proven ability to manage transactions independently and coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Established industry relationships and a history of generating actionable investment opportunities
- Ability to independently lead transactions from origination through closing and ongoing asset management
- Demonstrated success presenting investment recommendations to senior investment committees and executive stakeholders
- Deep understanding of commercial real estate markets, investment strategies, capital markets, and portfolio construction
Desired Qualifications
- Experience investing across multiple property sectors, including industrial, multifamily, residential, hospitality, retail, and specialty asset classes
- Background in core+ / NNN, value-add, opportunistic, and distressed investing strategies
- MBA, CFA, CAIA, or other advanced professional designation
- Strong academic credentials
