Job Summary
Build and monitor a portfolio of investments in Honduras and Guatemala while acting as a relationship manager to translate market developments into business opportunities. Focus on commercial activities with regional specialists, ensuring country portfolio performance and quality checks on new proposals. Identify financial resource needs, maintain local networks, and represent the organization at conferences. Conduct due diligence, prepare EPTs, support deal closures and disbursements, and monitor capacity building projects. This 40-hour role in Ciudad Guatemala requires frequent travel up to 20% of the time for an Investment Officer within the Hub for Central America and the Caribbean.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in the field of finance or business administration
- Four to six years' experience in banking, market analysis and economic development
- In-depth knowledge of inclusive finance, agriculture finance
- Strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with financial analysis using advanced financial modelling
- Solid understanding of and ability to evaluate company financial statements
- Good business acumen and strong interpersonal skills
- Extensive user skills of Microsoft Excel and computer literacy in general
- Excellent written and verbal command of English
- Are willing to travel frequently (up to 20% of the time)
