Job Summary
Prepare and review Federal and State tax returns for partnerships and corporations, including Forms 1065 and 1120. Analyze financial and tax data for Investment Fund clients using tax software like CCH Axcess and ProSystem fx Engagement. Perform tax research, communicate findings, and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality client service. Assist with special projects and manage multiple concurrent assignments while maintaining attention to detail during peak periods. This role supports Weaver's growing US Tax practice within the financial services industry, requiring flexibility for extended hours when client needs arise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in US Tax
- Experience preparing Federal tax returns, including: Form 1065 (Partnership Returns)
- Experience preparing Federal tax returns, including: Form 1120 (Corporate Returns)
- Experience preparing or supporting State tax returns
- Proficiency in tax and workflow applications such as: CCH Axcess
- Proficiency in tax and workflow applications such as: ProSystem fx Engagement
- Proficiency in tax and workflow applications such as: GoFileRoom
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to work from the office and collaborate closely with team members and managers
- Flexibility to work extended hours when business or client needs require
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in US Taxation, CPA or EA Pursuing or Qualified
- Experience serving clients in the Financial Services industry
- Knowledge of: Tax provisions, Tax journal entries, Tax adjustments and reconciliations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and workpaper automation
- Experience using tax research tools such as: Thomson Reuters Checkpoint
- Experience using tax research tools such as: CCH Research
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
