Job Summary
Investment Fund Onboarding Specialist will liaise with internal stakeholders regarding documents for new transactions, maintain excellent client-care and relationships with existing and potential clients and counterparties, communicate with external parties (auditors, lawyers, authorities, clients such as investors, investment managers, distributors), coordinate with Tokyo and internal teams, manage contracts for fund clients, assist with setup documents and agreements for changes, liquidations, and other structural actions, and provide administrative support including presentations and reports. The role requires analytical problem solving, in-depth analysis, cross-departmental coordination, negotiation skills with clients, proactiveness, team-oriented mindset, and a growth mindset. Education and preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business or related field, Japanese native level and business-level English, and 1-2 years of financial services experience related to servicing Japanese funds, with familiarity in funds domiciled in the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg being a plus. The posting emphasizes a front office function servicing Japanese clients, and joining the Institutional Services team to deliver holistic client relationships across asset managers, asset owners, insurance companies, and officials globally.
Required Qualifications
- Associate level professional with Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Japanese native speaker and business level English (written/verbal)
- minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the financial services industry
- experience in dealing with servicing Japanese client’s investment funds domiciled in the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg (is a plus) and/or having provided client services in the financial sector that involve investment fund scheme
- strong client relationship management skills
- ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties (auditors, lawyers, authorities, clients)
- ability to prepare presentations and reports
